Charlotte SHOUT! is one of the biggest spring events in the city.
This citywide arts and culture festival takes place throughout Uptown Charlotte and runs for about two weeks.
2026 Dates: April 3 – April 19
The festival features large public art installations, live music, food events, pop-up experiences, and performances happening all over Uptown.
There are more than 200 events during the festival and many of them are free.
It’s also very family-friendly, making it a great excuse to bring the kids Uptown and see the city when it’s buzzing with activity.

Kings Drive Art Walk

The Kings Drive Art Walk is another popular spring event.
It takes place along Little Sugar Creek Greenway between East Morehead Street and Pearl Street.
Artists from across the region set up booths along the greenway and visitors can walk the trail while browsing paintings, sculptures, photography, and handmade art.
There’s also live music and food vendors, which makes it a great way to spend a spring afternoon outside.

If you enjoy wine festivals, the South End Wine & Hops Festival is a popular event each spring.

Regal Beagle Bingo Bash (Dog Rescue Fundraiser)
One event I’m personally involved with this year is the Regal Beagle Bingo Bash, a fundraiser for RescuedMe.org.
Date: April 4
Time: 2–6 PM
Location: Hattie’s Tap & Tavern
People show up dressed like Mrs. Roper from Three’s Company, we play bingo, give away raffle prizes, and raise money for dog rescue.
The event is sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and this year we’re raffling off a rolling Yeti cooler filled with party gear.
Dogs are welcome, but the event itself is 21 and over.
